Faculty of Hotel & Tourism Management celebrated World Tourism Day in a unique manner by way of a Plantation Drive, Tourism Walk and a guest lecture by an eminent academician Mr A K Bhatia on September 27th 2016. The day started with the Plantation drive by way of planting about trees in a barren patch of University land. The University Officials initiated the drive by planting trees along with the staff and students. The importance of celebrating the day was enhanced by an oath taking ceremony and Tourism Walk. The students visited the entire university with banners and slogans while handing little potted plants to Deans, HODs and faculty members in order to encourage the practice of sustainable tourism and educating one and all about the universal accessibility of tourism. Mr A K Bhatia shared his insights, his rich experience and informed about a plethora of opportunities which exist for hospitality professionals worldwide.
