Mr Tandon explained that as the new normal is trending travelers and guests are making hygiene and cleaning measures a priority while choosing their stays in hotels. Also, they are forwarding the demand that the hotels should implement strict cleaning protocols to deal with the coronavirus. Other aspects were also discussed during the session like flexibility is one of the most important factors that the hospitality industry should opt to make their guests connected to them for a long time.

He also emphasized a few points that are important in the light of pandemic, such as hotels with automatic doors, disinfectants before entering & inside, before taking the elevator to the rooms, having a doormat at the entrance encourages guests to dry their shoes, make available to guests’ masks and a designated trash bin for those already used, elevator rides should leave a minute between uses and only one person per trip.

It was a very informative session where students also participated with full enthusiasm and zeal and asked various questions.
