On April 25th Chef. Varun Bajaj enthralled the students with his awe-inspiring journey began as a Management Trainee Chef at the prestigious Leela Hotels to becoming Business Head India & South East Asia of German Kitchen Equipment Manufacturing giant MKN. On the way he gathered experience and expertise while working for brands like Electroluxe, Rational AG, Nestle etc. With food shows like “Technology with Kitchen” on FOOD FOOD Channel, creating first Eco friendly Food Truck of India Based on Maggi Noodles and organizing the first Corporate Super Chef Event in India this year in his kitty, Chef Varun Bajaj’s deliberations were gripping as he brought out variety of food items using the Combination Oven in the Studio Kitchen. He motivated the students by sharing about the Multiple Avenues available for Culinary Professionals. He shared that earlier working with food typically meant becoming a chef with a restaurant at an international hotel chain. But today, it’s hard to even keep track of the diverse range of opportunities in the culinary industry. From food television to cook-book publishing, owning/operating a restaurant to crafting unique pastry products, chefs work in every aspect of today’s food world – and that it’s never been more exciting. He gave insights about how technology has taken over traditional cooking to save on time, energy and resources.
